Scoring: IMP

1-1
1-1NT
2[NT]-3NT

Lead: 6 (4th from an honour, second from three or more small cards)
How would you play:
(a) If RHO plays low on the first spade
(b) if RHO covers the first spade
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Depending on where I win the first trick I'd play a heart to the 9 or a club to the 9.

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

Besides playing for fun, most people also like to play bridge to win

Chances are that the lead is from 86(x+) or 76(x+) than specifically J876(xx).

I suspect LHO doesn't have great hearts or great diamonds based on the passive lead. I can't tell what's going on in clubs, although I'm a little worried that LHO might have led more aggressively with a vulnerable club holding. If the club K is off, this is going to be a pretty tough hand anyway, since we are probably losing 2 hearts (if we go after them), 2 diamonds and a club. If West wins most of the defense's tricks, attacking diamonds will be difficult.

I like:

1. If the 10 wins, duck a club, win the Q in hand, club finesse and pray.

2. If the 10 is covered, win, to Q, A and a 3rd club.

If I ever get the diamond shift from RHO, stick in the Jack.
