Being a bit cheeky here, because the answer is probably in the on-line help. To be fair to me, I did look there first, but if it doesn't jump out at me after 5 minutes search I give up. Whether it is my failing in being unable to search effectively or website designer failing I know not.

Quick question, therefore:

In a survivor tourney, are the results of those boards that are played by survivors against those who are "excused" excluded from the final results?

In case I did not explain well, take an extreme example, of a survivor matchpoint event in which, at the end, only two pairs survive. I would expect the results to be computed only by comparing the results of the two surviving pairs against each other's scores.

I have my doubts whether this is in fact occurring in BBO survivor tourneys. These doubts stem from a review of the % matchpoint scores of the survivors at the end of the event, when the average score appears to be nowhere near 50%, but rather somewhat higher.

If my suspicion is correct then it demonstrates (IMHO) a fundamental flaw in the entire concept of survivor tourneys: If you happen to play early against a pair that is "excused" and get good results from them, it appears that you have an unfair advantage if that result is "carried over" to later rounds in which your remaining competitors do not have the opportunity to play against that pair who have by then been rejected.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

Yes, survivor tourneys are flawed in the sense that you describe - they are not "real bridge", the comparisons are uneven.

But you heard LC in the vugraph theater - the Cavendish suffers from the same bug ;) T
