I think North was dealer and it was East who bid 2.

WEST should never have a chance to bid 2H on the second round, as others have already said. If he could have bid 2H, then the NS bidding was in error already.

I would bid 2D with the north hand, not 1NT.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

We don't because for us (and I think this is closer to standard than 4N for the minors) 4N asks for specific Aces... sure it is rare, but then 4N announcing 6-6 or better, with a goodish hand, isn't common either

I'll open 1 with North hand, and the bidding could go something like:

1 -(p) -1-(p)
2-(2)-dbl-(p)
3-(p)-3-(p)
4-(p)-4-(p)....

I have played 4NT as asking for specific aces for about 10 years. It came up once. The last 5 years I've played 4NT as minors. It came up 7 times. And 6 from 7 times it was a great score! I prefer conventions that actually come up.

An interesting one was where partner opened 4NT and I was contemplating 7, correctly figuring out that partner had forgotten that 5 asks for his void (if any, we can have 6511) and just signed off in 6. Made an overtrick. +1390.

The other table never got close to slam and finally hacked 5 for 2 off. +300.
