Scoring: IMP

(1) 2 (2) 3
(Pass) ?

3 shows a full invite - around 9-11 with 3+ clubs. Weaker hands go through 2NT.

So what happens now?

True but I know Standard American and what better reason could I have for playing Precision? - Hideous Hog

What happens is that opps managed to bury the hearts, but they'll be quick to dig them up if you bid 3NT.

5 for me. I may look silly if pard has xxx AKx xxx Axxx, though.

Opposite a full invite I really have to take my shot at 5. Can I be missing a slam? I very seriously doubt it since PD just has to have some HCP in here.

3N, on the theory that 9<11. This could work out badly, but I think the upside is worth it.

I am not sure why I should put all eggs in one basket.

I would bid 3 Diamond, stopper showing and when partner shows both majors stopped, I try 3 NT. When he shows just the hearts, I try 4 Club.
When he shows just spades, I go for 5 Club- maybe an underbid.

When I play a system, where 3 Diamond asks for stopper, I try 3 Heart and follow the same line.
Kind Regards

Roland

3.

Doesnt show stoppers in diamond, but if partner bids 3, I'll bid 3nt.

Hearts rate to be 4 with partner, 4 with opener, and 5 with responder. I really have no Idée whether it is best for my opponents to lead hearts or diamonds, so I am not going to do anything fancy to prevent a lead or rightside the contract.

I'll simply communicate with partner, and hope it leads us to the best contract, which might even be 6.

We should always assume 2/1 unless otherwise stated, because:

- If the original poster didn't bother to state his system, that means that he thinks it's obvious what he's playing. The only people who think this are 2/1 players.

Guys... They have bid only diamonds, 3D does not show a stopper no matter how hard you want it to.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.
