Scoring: MP

         P         P      2
3     P        3      P
4    All Pass

Say you ended up in 4, though your partner was unwilling to bid 3NT on just one stopper.
North leads his singleton , then you go up with the ace. What's your key play please? :)

I think I have to lead a from dummy, covering whatever RHO puts on. I will next get in (let's say they return a trump, as good as anything), pull 2 more trump, then lead a small to the king.

Next, a small diamond from the board, finessing the 7 of diamonds in my hand unless opps puts up the king. Ace of diamonds pulls the king next, and I can get rid of the losing spade by taking the diamond finesse.

Completely double dummy, of course, but I guess that's the problem you offered, so I'm not ashamed of the solution.

Agree with CS Gibson's line. It looks like a hand from Bridge with the Blue Team.
