Scoring: IMP

RHO opens 2, showing 11-15 points with 6+ clubs, or 5+ clubs and 4+ major.

Your call?

If you double, what is your plan if your partner responds 4 or 4?

I'd quite like to bid 3 if that's strong.

I really don't know what to do after 4M...could be right to pass or pull with both hands.

If partner bids 4, I think I might well bid 5...if partner has one diamond, I feel like I want to be in slam and I reckon there is a decent chance of that given the lack of a raise or bid.

If partner bids 4, then I'd probably bid 5, partner could have KQJxxx (x) and out but he not and we flail away in a 5-1 fit. Plus we could still have slam on if partner has something like Kxx QJTxxx K xxx.

It wasn't actually me in the hot seat, rather one of ewj's opponents in the Junior Camrose this weekend. I did ask how they played 3 and it would have been weak. I have no strong feelings about what strength is best.

Even if we're 100% sure that partner will take 3 as not a preempt, I'm not sure it describes a hand this good.

I would double, and bid a natural 5 over partner's 4 bid (if that happens).

If partner bids 4, I would bid RKC and then 5/6/7 spades depending on how many top spade honors partner has.
