I'm going to check the placard to see if this 1♠ bidder is my LHO, CHO, or RHO. No problems yet.

OK, we're in balancing seat. 1NT.

Potential side effects of too much laughin' (with self reasons) while lookin to a puter screen :

Dry mouth---get some martini but this time there's a risk being named Martini-breath
Agitation or restlessness
Decreased libido
In rare cases, may cause increased blood pressure, rapid heart rate and confusion.
Weight gain / which also appears to occur most commonly with the tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs). Eating healthy foods and exercising may help reduce this side effect.

Do you really read people typin to you through your teeth? Runawaaaaaaaay B)

Impulse control disorders involve the inability to resist certain urges. Wah wah. :)

Ahh Sorry, perhaps "dignified" word doesn't exists in all dictionaries :) (=Marked with dignity; stately; as, a dignified judge.)
Or "dignity" ? (=The state of being worthy or honorable; elevation of mind or character; true worth; excellence.)
How abt "Dignification "? (=The act of dignifying; exaltation.)

1NT. This does not promise a stopper in balancing seat - the reason being that if p has a stopper, it probably doesn't matter that he is dummy in a notrump contract since he is behind the long spades.

Pass cannot be right with such a good hand and only three little spades, double leads to a 4-2 fit in hears, and 2m to a 4-2 fit (or worse) as well.

How much does 1NT show? Depends on agreement, but certainly 14 points in included in the range.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

I know that some members of our german open team strongly support the view, that 1 NT should hold a spade stopper.

They have more experience and more success then me.
But I still would bid 1 NT with this hand. Showing 11-14 HCPS and a balanced hand with or without a stopper.
Kind Regards

Roland
