How do you handle one-minor-suited hands? SAYC and 2/1

I'm of the idea that:
1m 1M
3m
should be forcing and show at least 17 HCP.
I know a hand as:
♠Kx
♥Ax
♦AKQTxx
♣KJx
could be opened with 2NT or bid 1♦-1M-3NT. Burt how about more unbalanced hands? What if the minor is not THAT good?
How do you play it?

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the ♥3.

1♣-P-1♠-P-3♣ = strongish, but NF (16-ish?)
1♦-P-1♠-P-3♦ = same
1minor-P-1♠-P-3NT = gambling
1♦-P-1♠-P-3♣ = forcing, could be artificial (with long diamonds and too good to make a strongish NF bid)
1♣-P-1♠-P-2♦ = forcing, could be artificial (like 1♦...3♣)

"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

1♣ - 1♠ - 3♣: 16-17; NF; (Can be asking for 1 1/2 stoppers outside of ♣)
1♣ - 1♠ - 2♦: Reverse; 5+♣ 4+♦ 16+ HCP... Forcing
1♦ - 1♠ - 3♣: Natural Strong Jump Shift... Forcing
1♦ - 1♠ - 3♦: 16-17; NF; (Can be asking for 1 1/2 stoppers outside of ♦)
1m - 1M - 2NT: 17-18 HCP
(1NT opener: 14-16)
(2NT opener: 19-21)
(3NT opener: Gambling; No outside A/K)
1m - 1M - 3NT: Gambling with Some outside A/Ks
A Hand such as:
♠Kx
♥Ax
♦AKQTxx
♣KJx
Should always be opened 2♣ imo. Remove a King and this is a wtp 2NT opener.
The Jump Rebid should never show 17+ IMO.

You could agree with partner that 1m-1M-3m is forcing and try it out!
This agreement would probably give a little trouble when you have a hand that wants to invite instead of force. Find a way around the new hole in system [ = what to do with invites]. You could go conservative with the invites at MPs but at IMPs it could be costly. The frequency of opener holding a long minor AND a gameforcing hand is not too great, while the frequency of long minor with invitational hand I think is greater, but neither is very frequent.

I agree 1minor...jump rebid in minor can be quite wide ranging. I at least try and make them promise a stiff or void which means I very often need to open or rebid nt without shortness.
On your example....1d planning on rebidding 3nt, not quite enough for 2c opener and I open 2c alot more than most in forum.
In rare cases with long minor and shortness I may need to jump shift or reverse into a 3 card suit.

I think you could play 1♦-1M-3♦ as forcing by doing the following:
Play 1D-1M-2C as forcing for one round.
You would have some choices with a minimal 2 suited minors:
1) Use a 2N Opening (Don't know your system)
2) Understand you may get too high in clubs. Remember 1D-1M-2C-2D is still passable.
3) Open more solidly when you have both minors.

I know of at least one pair in my area that plays the jump rebid of a minor suit opening as forcing. I have not discussed with them the way that they handle other hands which would normally be handled by a nonforcing jump rebid.
I have pointed out in these fora a lot of hands that give players fits that would have been easy to handle if they played the jump minor suit rebid as forcing.

I think we had the same discusion earlier this week.
I use the simple aproach that 2NT rebid by opener is GF. And althou normally it is 18-19 balanced, some strong single suited hands are possible.
Others prefer to use a fake reverse on a fragment (or in diamonds if avaible).

if you really like science, you can do this:
1D 1H
2S: artificial, relay to 2N:
2N: relayed
3D: one suiter, gf. other bids, natural gf and natural S.
1D 1S
2H:
2S: relayed.
3D: natural, gf.
2N: true reverse, minimum.
3x: tends to be natural and true reverse.
similarly, you can play 1C 1x 2x+1 or 1C 1x 2D to include gf one suiter.
