Expert game, playing standard methods. Possibly easier if you are playing good/bad 2NT here, but that is not in your bag today.

The opps are vulnerable and both passed hands. I expect that they have said their piece.

Fine in theory, but in practice people just don't do that. They bid on.

For a diamond slam, I need someting like xxx,Kx,Qxxx,Kxxx.
Okay a nearly perfect minimum, but still a min.

♠ Axx
♥ x
♦ QJTxx
♣ JTxx
Doublers will probably get to 5♦ and stand a chance of getting to slam.
4♥ will make as the hearts are 3-3, but of course this also makes the diamond slam a trivial make.
My brother (over?) bid with 3♠ and then 4♦ over 3NT, so we sailed into the slam.
Another partner wanted to bid 4♦ immediately, to show a strong 6-4 hand. Nice treatment and I guess this means that he'd have to double with 5-5.

Help

(Pass) Pass (Pass) 1♥
(1♠) Dbl (2♠) ?
