If someone starts with 1 I do not see any good rebid. 15-17 HCP balanced 1NT OK with me.

ie. 1>1/1
1NT (12-14 HCP)

If your 1NT range includes 16 point hands, then it is a 1NT opener.

h justin,
depends on your 1n range, a lot of us do play 14-16 or 15-17, so this would fall in that range. otherwise you may need to open 1 or smth

Hi,

assuming 15-17, the answer is yes.
The answer would not change, if you played
14-16 or 16-18.

Assuming your range was not listed, than I guess
the answer is No.

With kind regards

Not given a NT range, the answer is neither yes nor no. It's "I don't know".

My favorite system is Romex vulnerable/Romex Forcing Club not vulnerable. In either of those systems, the answer is "no". However, finding partners willing to play either of these is difficult, so I play SA or 2/1, and in those systems the answer is "yes", so that's how I answered the stupid poll.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Yes, assume a 14-16/15-17/16-18/15-18 type range. This is the SAYC-2/1 forum after all.

FWIW I voted '"yes" (perhaps I should have included 'wtp'), and have posted this on someone else's behalf.

@jillybean: LOL. There is a bit of 12-14 around these parts, smartypants, and I'll play 10-12 sometimes, but that's not relevant to this. :)
