Some doubts on rules Bonus points

I didn't understand everything about the points in rubber bridge.
When you get 100 points below the score you win a manche, but the points above the score are not considered for the manche. So, when a rubber is finished who is the winner? The pair which won two manches or the pair which has more total points? If the answer is "the pair which won two manches", what function have the points above the score?

The pair with the most points wins. And the points are relevant if you are playing for $$$.
