I've been playing it as about 11-15 with 6+ hearts and I've been happy with that method. If you haven't tried it I would fully recommend it.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I think the question is about developments after that start to the auction.

I play a gadget which I like - 2NT Forcing.

1♥ 1♠
2♥ 2NT
...
3♣ shows a club feature and a doubleton spade

3♦ shows a diamond feature and a doubleton spade

3♥ shows six good or seven hearts

3♠ shows three spades and good hearts otherwise we might have raised spades immediately

3NT (sort of like a fert <_< - defined by what it is not) - not good hearts, not two spades so typically 1=6=3=3 with poorish hearts.

Responder can now set a suit to explore for the best game or more begin a slam investigation.

Other simple bids over 2♥ are natural:

2♠ not forcing

3m natural and forcing - 2NT above tends to deny a second suit

3♥ invitational

3♠ invitational

3NT to play

4m splinter

I believe that the USA currently hold only the World Championship For People Who Still Bid Like Your Auntie Gladys - dburn
dunno how to play 4 card majors - JLOGIC
True but I know Standard American and what better reason could I have for playing Precision? - Hideous Hog
Bidding is an estimation of probabilities SJ Simon

If playing 2NT as a relay, I'd have opener show shortages rather than features.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Ah yes, we also play 2NT as forcing, natural follow-ups.

Ogust? LOL
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."
