If I read that correctly, will it help if turn off my fridge and walk to work?, or are we all doomed

The world works in mysterious ways. As always, if we do the best that we can then we won't have to waste any energy on regrets at least...

The gulf stream has dropped off by about 1/3 since the late 80's. The sink holes off the shore of Greenland are virtually stopped. The map shows that should the THC influence stop, then Europe will return to pre-industrial age climatic conditions (not all that bad) and North America will warm up a bit.

Hardly the end of the world.
