Are bonus points awarded when a partial-game bid is successfully made? Some sources say you get 50 bonus points, in addition to the points for the tricks you've taken. Many sources, including the appendix the the ACBL tutorial on scoring, don't mention this at all.
Is there a definitive answer?

It depends what type of bridge you are playing.
If you are playing any form of duplicate or competition bridge - a teams match, or online at BBO, or pairs at your local club - then you do indeed get 50 bonus points.
If you are playing rubber bridge - the original form of bridge, and the type of bridge played for money- where there are just four of you at the table, and you play on until one side has made game twice - then there are no bonus points for making a partscore. What you do get is a 'below the line' score - the points for making the partial-game bid count towards your next game.

Frances is right of course. The answer is to be found, for duplicate, in Law 77, and for rubber bridge in Law 81.

In rubber bridge, if you have to leave the table before the rubber is finished, you are awarded bonus points as follows:
part score in an unfinished game: 50
game in an unfinished rubber: 300
Ergo, one could say that in duplicate, these bonuses are awarded after every hand.

In Chicago rubber bridge, where you just play four hands, there's a 100 point bonus for making a part-score on the last hand of the rubber.
