I am not into politics so I have probably missed something, but I have only heard good things about Brown. And some smear campaigns blaming other people's mistakes on him, such as this disc-gate nonsense.

I don't think I trust any politician. Gordon Brown is no worse than any of the others. It reminds me of the old joke Q: "How do you tell if a politician is lying?" A: "See if his/her lips are moving".
