In teams, RHO opens 1, you bid Michaels 2. Bidding goes:

1 - !2 - 3 - 4 - pass

What's your action over pard's raise to 4?

What kind of hands can you give your pard's 4H raise? WHat were his other options with other types of hands? I made a mistake reading pard's 4H bid.

Although your hand is better than it might be, it's not all that much better. Partner's 4 could be on a very good heart fit and essentially nothing else at all. While I wouldn't be surprised to make 12 tricks on some occasions, this is overall a good hand to be passing on.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

Not enough to bid more. I might regret it, if the hands fit very well. For example:

Qx
AKxx
Axx
xxxx

Could even make a grand.

If partner can't diagnose your club shortage with that particular hand, nothing can save you. Partner should know you are singleton/void in clubs already, and should have already taken that into account when bidding 4.

This looks like a WTP Pass to me.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

OK. So let me change the example a little.

Qxx
AKxx
Axx
xxx

While partner certainly rates to have club shortness, is this sufficient to bid a slam? Or even try for a slam? We were not given the vulnerability, but if we are not vul, it would not surprise me if partner had:

JTxxx
QJxxx
Kx
x

Even opposit the hand I originally gave as an example, you can't make more than game.

Uhm, ArtK, partner can also try for slam.
If he can't try for slam, it is very unlikely we can make one.

I pass and hope partner can make the contract (I expect him to). I'm not that excited about slam chances...
Kind regards,
Harald
