What does an immediate 4 show? I might be tempted to make a limit splinter here with the super fit. However, I think an immediate 4 might be better for the given hand. I don't really consider anything else.

4 is splinter with 12-14
3 is shortness somwhere with 10-12. Opener can ask which void/singleton with 3

4H no matter what your system is. Might miss a slam sometimes but I want to get to the 4-level as fast as possible.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

4's. A lot of losers for partner to cover to make any stronger move. Partner can still bid.

1S, 2C, 2D are all tempting. 4H is normal though.

4 is very obvious in practice, if anything else crosses your mind you don't have much experience in these situations.

Geez so sensitive, I didn't even read your post! I was just making a logical bridge argument ;) If I wanted to attack you without quoting I would have used the same word "tempting" instead of "crosses your mind" because I'm clever that way.
