How do you rate 1NT vs 2C? You are playing pairs, don't remember the vulnerability (I didn't have this hand).
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

1NT is what I would do at all forms of scoring and all vulnerabilities. There may be considerable advantage in having a major-suit lead come round to my hand in notrump, and with half my strength in my short suits, I do not intend to bid this as if it were a two-suiter. Since I would unquestionably open a weak no trump if that is what I were playing, that is what I will rebid.

Nothing to argue with there.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

I used to mentally tract 5-4's that looked 'right' for a NT rebid (matchpoints). I found out that frequently the suit contract was far preferable.

Still, this hand 'screams' NT with its tenaces and intermediates. So I slightly prefer 1N over 2.

I can easily live with a pass instead of 1 btw.

I bid 1NT. The hand looks to me like a balanced hand with 12-14 points. more than it looks like a hand with and .

Easy 1NT rebid IMO. David Burn said what needs to be said above.
Kind regards,

Most likely I would bid 2C, but I like 1NT better.

Pairs has nothing to do with it, but playing Pairs
should make 1NT even more attractive.

1nt at MP
2 at Imps, but I find 1nt reasonable.
