3♠ - 4♥
4♠! - 4NT
5♣ - 5♥
pass

2NT = positive with a good 6+M
3♠ denies interest in ♥, 4♥ says "I don't care, we'll play ♥"
4♠ = kickback RKC
...

You really wouldn't open 2♣? That feels like more of a reflex not to do so, without noticing the huge strength of the hand.

I think after 2♣, if north responds 4♥ that's where he will play, if north responds anything else south will insist on 4♠.

South opens 2♣, North shows hearts at every possible opportunity, etc..

The only interesting decision is whether or not South is worth a bump to 5♥ with all those primes. Unless you play some special responses to 2♣, its hard to differentiate between AJ-8th and AQJT-7th.

There were only 6 tables, and admittedly the field wasn't that strong, but 4 of the 6 played at the 6 level (6♥, 6♠, and 6NT were all bid), one tried 7♥, and just one pair got out in game (4♠).

?


2d=random aces or kings, positive, game force.

now when I bid 3h and 4H I have denied two of the top 3 honors.

not sure what the difference is between:

2c=2nt positive in hearts compared to 2c=4h? who discusses that but perhaps this is a good example of 2c=4h? :(
