I would like to run an indy for forum regulars Saturday next week.

I suggest 17h00 British Daylight Saving time. That will be 9h00 in Los Angeles, and 21h30 in New Delhi. 23h00 in Laos. Midnight is Singapore. (+)02h00 in Sydney and (+)04h00 in New Zealand.

Random hands, 16 boards, 8 rounds. Clocked 12 minutes per round (last time it was unclocked, as a result the tournament got largely divided into a fast segment and a slow one).

Restricted to people with 100+ forum posts but forum newbies who would like to join the "community" will be added on request. The restriction will be lifted as the tourney begins to get it easier to get subs.

I hope to be able to play myself but if that causes too much chaos I will sub myself out.

Any comments/suggestion/questions?

Any chance it could be moved up an hour? (Earlier, that is). That's 12PM local for me, and our session starts at 1PM, and I would like to do both.

OK, then the Californians will have to get up at 8 but OTOH the Australians will need a little less caffeine. Maybe a good deal.

I am in.I confess it will be my first indy.Would it be a good idea if all play the same system and same conventions and same signals?

Yes, we all play modified expert standard <_<

No, seriously, I think we will agree on a solution to the credit crisis sooner than we will agree on a common system.

Yeah, it doesn't work. Maybe it's because I saved the list as a unix text file. I will try monday when I have access to a windows pc.

Don't forget that there was a problem last time with having double !'s name in the middle of the list, but it was solved by putting him last, I believe.

Also, has anyone decided on how many boards? And is it going to be timed?

I'm one of the Californians, but strangely enough, moving it earlier makes it more possible for me to play, but I'm not sure.

I doubt Adam's going to be playing, but we'll see.

The tournament has been created and the inclusion list works!

Saturday 4 oct 16h00 British DST.
16 boards, 8 rounds. 2 boards per round.
Matchpoints, barometer
Clocked, 6 mins per board.
All chat allowed.
The list I used was slightly shorter than Ben's. Just ask if you can't register and you want to play.

Does BBO Flash have a limit on how far ahead it looks for tournaments? I don't see this in the pending tournaments list.

I'll be there !

Note that my BBO ID is "MrDodgy" (no period or space), but I'm sure Helene is well aware of that (can't try registering now).

I had to use CrossOver to do it, since BBO Flash only shows tournaments in the next 2 hours, but I'm signed up now.
