(2♠) - p - (p) - 4♣

What's a typical LM hand?
What's a min LM hand?
Is there an upper limit?

A very small minority of players play 4♣ is nonforcing, but most people play it is forcing. Consequently there is no real upper limit.

I think AKxxx AKxxx as a general guideline is a good lower limit.

Well said Clee.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I guess there is not yet any "standard".

I play it as "Forcing/non-forcing", meaning that the 4♣ bidder must get another chance to bid, but it does not establish a force if opponents bid. (More relevant in the direct seat.)

KQJxx KQ10xx would make it a wtp for me.

No upper limit.

We should always assume 2/1 unless otherwise stated, because:

- If the original poster didn't bother to state his system, that means that he thinks it's obvious what he's playing. The only people who think this are 2/1 players.

Minority? BWS has used a leaping michaels call as NF.

Most play it forcing around here, but I would stop short of calling that a majority position.
