I pass. I don't have quite enough to make a negative double and would worry if partner had to rebid 2♠.

I double. I have just enough to make a negative double. I'm not too worried if partner bids 2 Spades.

I double.
I am not estatic with double, due to poor fit for spades, and the value i have "wasted" in hearts.
On the other hand, if I pass and my LHO raises to 3♥ we can be shut out of the auction. IF partner rebids 2♠ over my double, i will, of course pass and wish I had passed this last round.

Pass. I don't mind defending 2♥ if pard has a little length.
Forcing to the 3 level seems dubious, especially with a 3rd hand CHO.

I'm not ecstatic about either dbl or pass. Seems close to me. Swap the ♣9 and ♥A and I think I'd definitely dbl.

Tough hand.
If double and bid is weak (6-9 or so) then perhaps you can double and convert 2♠ to 3♣.
I usually play negative free bids and so 3♣ over 2♠ would be forcing having started with a double.
Passing and double are both awkward.
Passing is awkward as it will be hard for partner to imagine we have this much if we pass. It also may be far from clear what is best if we pass and partner bids or doubles.
Doubling is awkward as depending on your agreements you may have to live with partner's 2♠ and even if you can correct to 3♣ it may be no bargain with a nine-high suit.
Usually I am favour of showing some useful values with a double but here I think I pass and hope to make a sensible bid if partner bids on.

We're a passed hand, so we can double and bid clubs over spades if we want. I'm a passer though. Encouraging partner to bid 3♠ over X-(3♥) isn't really ideal.

Enough shape and enogh values to make a neg X. The chance i get a plus score at 2H isnt good enough to my taste.

Dble, I am not prepared to give up our possible part score. Passing now will result in partner passing most likely. Also possible is LHO will raise H in which case we are out of the auction forever.

Now, if partner rebids 2S, we can count on him to have at least six of them and we are comfortable letting him play there. Also, if he’s opened really light in 3rd hole and/or has a bunch of hearts, we can stay out of trouble and play defense, and finally if partner has a reasonable opener and some cards in the minors he’ll reopen with a double and we’ll know it’s right to compete in clubs."

I definitely pass, if this gets passed out they are in an 8 card or worse fit, and double lets me usually guess betwen 2♠ in the 5-1 or 3♣ in the 6-1.
