OK this is painful. Make the hand a bit better, or just even the heart suit, and I would bid 3H, forcing with 5+ hearts. Now I agree with Arend that pass is probably right. You may still have a good game in hearts but it is much more likely that 3D is the last making spot. The singleton diamond is a big negative.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

Pass. Hope that if he has Kx AQx AKJxxxx, they lead the spade Q from QJ109x against either 3N or 4♥, and, in the latter case, hearts are offside (they might even be 4-1, but that is unnecessary).

This is not a time to get excited.. partner will more often have a mundane hand such as Axx Kx AKJ9xx Jx and you hope to go plus in 3♦.

If everybody else is in 3♦=, then 3NT= is 490 higher while 3NT-1 is only 210 lower.

-210 is -5 IMPs, +490 is +10 IMPs.

C'mon, I know you're tempted....lol.

That's a heck of a nice side suit you have in clubs. I don't know what the odds are that it'll run for 5 tricks, but it can't be that bad.

If I had more self control, I'm sure I would pass too.

OK, if partner bids 3♦ (or even opens 1♦) with that, I'll reconsider.

Have you considered the odds of going down 2 or 3 in game?? Have you considered how short on values you probably are??
