Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the ♥3.

Besides playing for fun, most people also like to play bridge to win

I win the first trick in dummy and play a diamond to the jack.

If ♦J loses to the queen and a spade comes back, I'll lead a diamond to the king (which has to work). If that holds without my seeing the ace, I have to guess whether to play for hearts 3-3 or diamonds 3-3. If LHO has played the ace, I have time to test both suits.

If ♦J loses to the ace, I'll have time to duck one round of a minor.

If RHO plays ♦Q, I'll play a diamond to the jack and then think about what to do next. (This is one of the situations where having won the first spade in dummy helps - I can cater for ♦AQ doubleton on my right.)

If ♦J holds, I'll have to consider whether LHO is good enough (or bad enough) to duck with something like Qxxx Jxxx Axx xx.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

I can't really see any better than ♦ towards the J at T3 and take it from there.
The difference between theory and practice is that in theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is.

Except it will be T4 after T1 was spade ducked and T2 you take SK.

A low diamond toward the J probably works. LHO has Tx and may not unblock. Clubs are 3-3 so if they duck either diamond you can switch to clubs. The defense can arrange to win the club in either hand.

I played a diamond toward the King which is inferior to a Diamond toward your hand I think.

This was a push board.
