Scoring: MP

P (P) 1♦ (1♠)
X (2♠) P (P)
X (P) 3♥ All pass

The lead is ♠A, RHO contributes the 4, discouraging. LHO continues a spade. Plan the play.

RHO had a limit raise available but no separate constructive or weak raise.

If looks as though ♣AK are divided.

I don't think we can trust the opponents to have defended correctly here. If their clubs were something like Axx-KJxx, LHO should still have switched to a club in case his partner had KQ. Hence all we know is that either RHO's signal was only about the spade suit, or LHO wasn't sure what was going on.

Before playing any trumps, ideally I'd like to be able to throw a club on a spade and then find out how the club honours are divided, but that has a risk of losing a diamond ruff.

I think I'll compromise by playing a diamond to the ace, a spade throwing a club, and a heart to the queen. If that loses to the king, I'll finesse against LHO's jack, risking two off if LHO has something like Axxxx Kxx xx Axx and returns a diamond after ♥K.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn
