When I play a pbn file movie, the software generates an equivalent lin file.
How can I turn off this facility?

We'll have to wait until Fred returns [4 days] . My guess is that you won't be able to disable the creation of the LIN file, but we'll see

This really shouldn't be too big of a problem for you. It is true that the software creates a new lin file... it leaves a copy of the old file. For instance, assume you have a file called....
OKB03.PBN
If you open this file with NetBridgevu (BBO program) it will create a new file named....
OKB03.LIN
But on your computer (in teh same directory), you will now have both files....
OKB03.PBN
OKB03.LIN
Simply use windows explorer and delete the obk03.lin file...your PBN file is still there in its native format. But be careful, they will both have the icon for BridgeVu so they "look" the same, be sure to use detail view so you can see the file extension to be sure you delete the LIN if you want to keep the PBN formated one.

Thanks for the feedback.
I agree it's not a big problem as I can delete the unwanted files, but
I had hoped it was an optional facility that could be turned off.

Sorry there is no way to turn this off. In fact, I only
recently turned it on (so that people have a way to
convert from .pbn to .lin).
Sorry about the inconvenience, but I doubt I will be
adding an option here.
