The First Youth North American Bridge Championships are under way in Atlanta, Georgia. It is a pleasure for us to welcome the youngsters to BBO vugraph Saturday the 5th (pairs). 36-42 boards in total.

Tom Carmichael, who is one of the organizers, wrote:

I am very proud of the Hawaii Units and District 20 who have raised money and sent 11 young players to Atlanta for these games. These kids have learned bridge thru classes run by volunteer bridge teachers at their middle schools. They are new players but hopefully this experience will make them lifelong bridge players. I think it is GREAT that the ACBL is doing this and I am really glad that Saturday's event will be broadcast as BBO vugraph. Let's hope Altanta will be the first of many succcessful Youth NABCs!

I have just been watching and commentating on the first session of the YNABC. Players aged 9-18 on vugraph. Was great fun!
