Ummm - 3?
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

I think 4C is a little too much with this hand, 3 is enough.

Ok, three is enough to convince me I am not crazy. Partner seemed to show some mild disapproval when I bid 3 and then pulled his 3NT to 4.

Both are going at least down 1, but 3NT is down a ton on a switch after the heart lead. Partner has x KQxx QJ AKJxxx

lol, sorry I was not trying to be obnoxious, I often don't read the polls and just read the threads so I didn't realize it was 3C or pass. Needless to say I'm not a fan of pass.

...but I wouldn't pull partner's 3NT bid.
There's nothing wrong with 3C on this hand. If partner thinks 3NT is making, why should we think differently?

OK, I agree 3NT may not be making, but also we haven't been doubled yet, and I'm not convinced that - opposite heart stuff - 4C is likely to be much better

3C. Don't like passing with an ok unbal hand and 4 card support!

I probably wouldn't pull 3N unless there was a double.

I pass, I like the queen of clubs and the stiff Heart, but I hate anything else here, so I agree with your partner that I had expected more from you then this.
Kind Regards

Agree with Frances :) This hand is about what partner can expect as a minimum 3 raise, so why pull 3N? If 3N is a wrap, you may have some explaining to do :)

Not to raise C looks criminal to me. Had my partner bid 3N that is where we play it. Passing after 2H should be a hanging offence!

3 I guess, but I would probably bid 4. I'm not ashamed to put this dummy down in 5 at MPs.

Uh 3 wtp when sober? 4 to help it sink in if partner hasn't already noticed that I wasn't.

Judging from the ensuing 'discussion', the four pass votes came from terminals attended by monkeys with high probability. By the theory of monkeys, only about (22-4 =) 18 of the 3 votes are legitimate in expectation.

Not convinced at all by partner's 3NT bid. He was evidently expecting a lot more, when the auction suggests that I haven't got a lot more. The club suit isn't anything more than one would expect for a vulnerable overcall, and the red cards are waste paper.

Easy 3 IMO, and I'd be happy to pass 3NT.
Kind regards,
