2H red is too dangerous for me. I would X but passing is ok too.
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

Easy 2H bid. I don't understand doubling with a suit of this quality. As for pass, well....not in a serious game.

2H, also very surprised to see votes for double. If you really don't want to bid 2H with a hand this light you should pass imo.

I agree.
Those who DBL seem to imply that DBL promises less then 2H. I don't have that agreement.

I would bid 2♥, but for me this is not obvious, and none of the 3 options are clearly wrong.

10HCP and a 5 card suit is not ideal for a vulnerable 2 level overcall. But, with a singleton spade, this hand does want to enter the auction. If the hearts and clubs were switched, I would double. But as a general rule, I bid a 5 card major in preference to doubling because double tends to miss the 5-3 fit. So, 2♥ for me, but reluctantly.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

For every time LHO has KTxx, there will be 2.3333 times where partner holds KTxx or Kxxx.

2♥ certainly feels right. Doubling looks like taking a good idea too far. Passing looks like taking a bad idea too far!

Yep but some KTxx or Kxxx will give you a bad result at 3H X -2 or 3. Plus the good result you get by hitting gold when partner got KTxx,kxxx might not compensate fully the bad result when you play 2Hx. Overcalling will often propelled you to an unmakable 3Nt or 4H even if your style is to overcall agressively. I think 2H is inferior to pass and to X but i have no big problem with it. But if you think its an easy and clearcut 2H bid i suggest you to play more MP than imps teams.

I happen to agree with JLall. If I am going to take a call, 2H. Why? Because I have hearts. Ok, let me look at suit quality? Where are all my points? In hearts, OK let's bid that.

Now, if you want to say I am too weak to make a 2/1 red overcall, I can live with that as well. I just hate the "usual" response, well double shows flexibility. Everyone seems to forget the other side of that equation.

When partner doesn't overcall, what is the right level to compete too? How am I going to bid 3/2 when I have only 3 hearts now? 1S-x-2S. No guarantee of an eight card fit.

2♥. Only alternative is pass. Double is not an option.

I have hearts. Why would I not bid 2♥ (assuming I am not going to pass)?
