In the absence of discussion I would assume double followed by a cue bid was a very strong hand, so the immediate 3♣ is not that. Therefore double is a takeout, 3♣ is a takeout with better hearts, and 3♦ is a takeout with better spades. Partner's 3♥ is a signoff, but my hand is enough for 4♥.
I look forward to posts telling me what better methods are.

4♥, what did partner have?

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the ♥3.

4♥.
I would have started with a double, but 3♣ has turned out well for us. With 4♥ now we have shown a very strong hand with both majors, better hearts. Luckily that is exactly what we have.

That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

I like my bidding so far- at least it had worked and bid a confident 4 Heart, maybe missing a slam, but such is life.
Kind Regards

OK, I'll bite. I bid 4C, slam try.
1) If I am going to bid game, I might as well show extras which I have.
2) As for partner showing a minimum, that I think is incorrect. He was not forced to bid after the double. You can re-open with a redouble, so partner has some values (6-10) HCP for his bid. If he has KH, AS you can be OK.

p had a dog, and probably overbid it at the first go:
♠JT
♥KJx
♦87xxx
♣Txx
4♥ was down 1 when the side suits broke (surprise!) poorly.

Help

This one not so high...
(p) - p - (2NT)* - (3♣%)
(X) - 3♥ - (p) -?
* - 2NT was minors. 55+, 7-11HCP
% - you were hoping this was some sort of call emphasizing
the majors, perhaps hearts, no discussion. p seems to have
fielded it at least a little bit.
what now?
what methods would you like to have had available?
