100% agree with 1st X, and now I pass happily. Partner's a passed hand and has heard our t/o X. We have nothing more to describe.

- Over 3♣, _X = 10, 3♥ = 5, _P = 2
- Over 5♣ _X = 10, _P =5
The message of the 2nd double is the same as the 1st, but extra values.

You yourself give 2 for passing first time, yet suddenly you feel like you have extra values compared to your initial double? Are your points for real or are you deliberately trying to make them as random as integers between 0 and 10 can get?

A previous post explains how and why you should rate bidding options: give marks to most of the actions that you consider might work. For example, pass is more likely to be right over 5♣ than over 3♣
In my fallible judgement, double is still the best choice in both contexts

I would X, if partner bids something that must be good and if partner passes we should have a decent shot at beating them, sometimes 2.

This is the whole hand..
I was South, doubled the 1st time but passed 5♣..
Turns out that 5♦ and 5♥ cold for our side.. but even if we did not reach them.. we also let 5♣ go undoubled.. it went down 2..
Any comments?
