4♥. And if that does not end the auction, I double at my next opportunity - to inform my partner that I bid 4♥ to make.

4H AND X
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

I'm not too happy with all these 4H then double bids. Surely there will be hands where 3NT by p is the only making game, and others where 5D makes their way after your double. What is to be lost by bidding 1H first, and seeing if partner bids 1NT? If 1H gets passed out then 4 may well go off, and if not then there is nothing to stop you bidding further.

Agree with 4♥ then double.
The 1♥ overcall would be my second choice (ahead of double), but bidding only 1♥ allows LHO to bid spades at the one level, or support diamonds at the 2 or 3 levels.
Better to take all that room away from them, and pay off to the occasions when 3NT makes but 4♥ does not.

That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

1♥. 4♥ ok but I am not quite sure if I can double 4♠ or 5♦ next round. Would still bid 4♥ at other vulnerabilities though. Dbl is silly IMHO.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

If you pass, it would not be unexpected to hear LHO bid 1♠. They can then out bid your hearts.
If you bid 4♥ it takes very little from pard to make
- king of clubs
- spade or diamond ace
- diamond king with LHO holding the Ace
- heart jack, (or heart 9 and enough length that the J drops and you have more trumps) allowing you to take a club finesse and then ruff the thrid round
This is not asking for much, even if there are only 10-13 HCP in the remaining 2 hands.

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the ♥3.

Only in this vul. I can accept a 4 Heart call, but as we are vul against not, this is a good hand for a 4 Heart bid. And I will pass next round. How can I beat 4 Spade or 5 Diamond when my pd is silent?
Kind Regards

I hate it 4H, especially when my opponents bid it.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.
