It is a decision between 3H and 4H, I would choose the latter.

4. If partner has a very strong hand with spades, he will bid 4 now. I am in a much better position than I would have been if I had 5 spades instead of 5 hearts. Then a jump to 4 may create problems.

If you play Lebensohl, you may show Heart with direct 2 , direct 3 or with 2 NT followed by 3 .
We play that the later is invitational and a direct jump game forcing, so I would choose that and bid 3 .
Kind Regards

This is too good for a direct 2. I won't hang PD for a min t/o X and will just invite, but honestlly don't mind the direct jump to 4 as game is often making opposite a minimum, even for my T/O X of 2 which can be quite min.

Freaky. Partner doubles, RHO passes, and I have 1 diamond?

Either partner is has incredible power or, well, incredible power.

I don't think I'm bidding 4. If 3 isn't GF, I'll do 3. I would be surprised if we stopped short of slam.

4H though with some trepidation. Pd may well pass this when we belong in Clubs.

4....even if 3 is forcing, which is how I play it (lebensohl issue), 3 shows a different hand type.

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

I would also choose 4H. Partner would not get too overly excited as we would have other ways of getting to 4H.
