P - 1C - DBL - 2C
2S - P - P - 3C
3D

What do you expect the relative lengths of advancer's pointed suits?

The way I play it, 4 spades, 5 diamonds. Partner bid spades first because it's a major suit. If partner had 5 spades, I assume that he'd rebid spades (to play in the 5-3) rather than 3♦.

If I have four spades, I'll usually assume equal. If I have 3-3, I'll assume longer diamonds.

If I have 4-4, I'll use judgment, which scares me also.

But, I generally assume equal or longer diamonds.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."
