Husband and wife partnership

Both my husband and I play bridge online but have not yet played as a partnership. We would like to do so but feel uncomfortable with the fact that we are obviously playing in the same house. The computers are in different rooms.
How would others feel about such a partnership ?
Should we advise our opponents of the fact so that they have the option to leave the table ?
If we play in a tourney and our oppos do not like the situation it isn't possible for them to leave without disrupting the tourney. Should we not play in tourneys ?
Views and advice sought.

I don't see an issue w/it at all. If you are feeling energetic, you might want to mention it to your opps, but this is too annoying in a a tourney, and even in the MBC, language is often an issue.
Anyway, no one - except the yellows - will be able to tell that you are connecting from the same network

Strangely enough, I find that being in the same location can be a disadvantage, because I can hear if she says "What the hell is that???"... and then I'm ethically constrained to carefully avoid taking any advantage from that information.
Just keep your ethics active and don't worry about any paranoid people you may encounter.

maybe she shoud not talk out loud
if one shoud take advance of whats beein said in any way(when players can hear eachother ) i feel then that thatone crossed a line better not to be crossed so when in the same room do what is done irl
online opps dont see/hear what others are doing so as long as u act with the same selfdiscpiline there is really no case why a pair woud not be welcome to play online

So I'm very happy to play against you at any time and concur with the advice of others - don't worry about it and just enjoy playing

We did play in a small tourney. I was very nervous and, although we didn't do very well, will try again.

This may sound a bit extreme, but how about living in separate accomodation?
Appparently was very successful in some Native American cultures (when husband lived in a wigwam and the wife in a teepee their relationship was too tense (two tents
As for your wife not playing tennis with you Nafiz you should try improving your back-hand, mate
As seems to be the consensus of opinion, it doesnt seem to cause many people any problems whatsoever....if you playing in the same room and 'kissing your teeth' when your p, aka your hubby, doesnt return the suit you led that may be a breach of ethics but then again only you know that
Would play against thee anytime..
PS If the man in your house you are playing with is someone elses husband, the ethical issues of course become much more broader
