Fromthe USBF web site (May 30th at 3:00 PM eastern time):

Quote

SCORES FROM ROUNDS 7-10

Because the players are not entitled to know the score as they play these last 4 matches, we were not able to post scores from these matches. The players are now playing Match 4, so we can post scores. These are not confirmed; they are based on what the players submitted on the bridgemates. After the teams have finished playing Match 8 and have compared scores they will submit their match scores to the Directors and we will then have confirmed placings for the Round Robin.

The Cross table you get to by clicking here has the confirmed VPs after 4 matches entered as the carryover and the unconfirmed results from matches 5-7 as soon as we are able to post them.

"Scores from Rounds 7-10" is confusing to me because it seems there are 8 rounds in this round robin. The crosstable has some shaded and some unshaded blocks, and says "The shaded matches on this scorecard were played in RR1 and those scores are included in the Carryover" but teams have different numbers of shaded boxes.

We played 8 matches total after the first cut, 4 of them this morning. A lot of the stuff is screwed up I think becuase the bridgemates were not programmed correctly or something.

From today's bulletin (at: Bulletin 4 - bulletin calls itself Volume 2, Issue 5

bulletin said:

Hopefully the VuGraph problems will be solved and we will be able to watch the action up close and personal on our home computers. Please be patient with the technological problems we have been experiencing. It is beyond our control. The hotel is working with us to correct the situation and we are looking forward to am (an) excellent broadcast starting this morning.

The bulletin also contains a complete schedule - I found in doing a bulletin you can drop the days already done. It contains all the teams entered - the teams already eliminated likely want witness protection at this time so perhaps just list the teams still in it. Also the Round Robin Info is no longer useful ("The Round Robin format this year will be the same as it was last year.")

For bridge hands there's a hand from Cayne vs. Denmark on BBO - cool to have breakfast danish in the USBF bulletin. Then, tres cool, we have a hand from the Canadian National Team Championship (btw, L'Ecruyer, who's team plays today, was up watching BBO vugraph this morning). And for local folk it was nice to see the Renfrew Fair mentioned (the greatest fair in the Ottawa Valley since 1853), along with two top awards.

Best wishes with the net connectivity today - as today's bulletin says "The number one cause of computer problems is computer solutions"
