Hand from the club Intrafinesse, or something else?

Scoring: MP


You land in an aggressive 4♠ in the North versus unknown opponents via an invitational sequence (2 way NMF). You're trying to play catchup and you think you're at about average for the session with 4 rounds (2 board rounds) left to go after this hand.

The lead from East, is the 6S. What is the best line to maximize the odds of making the hand?

Am I reading this hand right? Is the dummy on the bottom?

Dwayne, please put the dummy on top and declarer's hand on the bottom. Then you don't have to clarify the lead came from'East'. No one cares what seat actually played the hand at the club.

Assuming the lead is coming around into my AQ6th, the hand looks cold to me and overtricks are possible. Win the spade, cash the other spade. Do not play a 3rd. Now AD, D. Either way we get 5S, 3D 1C and 1H. If the diamond is covered, knock out the spade, take the club pitch and go fishin for the JH.

By the way, the heart suit isn't an 'intrafinesse' position, its a 2-way finesse against a J.

It's not cold, but I agree with win the SQ, cash the SA, DA, DQ discarding a club if not covered.

Kinda hard for RHO to ruff the spade Queen, seeing as how spades are trumps and all that....

(I'm guessing you mean the contract is actually 4♥?)
