I'd probably double. Pard has a s/v heart so I doubt he's sitting (great if he does obv!). I will pass 4♠ and bid 5♦ over 5♣.

If my black suits were reversed, I'd 5♦, but this is a useful dummy if pard has 6 spades.

I'm gonna PASS. If I dbl pard, with his void, is gonna pull to 5♣ and I won't like that at all.

If I pass, pard will probably double and I'll be happy. Even if he passes, there's no guarantee I'll make 4♠. Especially if leftie remembers to lead a trump.

Is this his hand? Probably not. Has anyone ever made a psychic preempt like this before? Yes it has happened to me twice, both times when they are white and I am red (but at matchpoints each time i have to admit).

Once it blew up in the preempters face when his partner could not take a joke, once we in fact took all the tricks undoubled, so I am averaging 50% against this type of crazyness.

If the bid is honest, partner has a black hand, which is not going to be good for us. I guess I join the passers and hope for a reopening double.

ofcourse I wouldn't be happy if RHO preempted with a void. But that's a risk you have to take when not playing penalty doubles... I would congratulate my opponent for his bid.

I am a passer. My x's are takeout oriented, and I can't handle partner bidding 5C (my diamonds are just not good enough to bid opposite a S-C 2 suiter)

Since I play penalty doubles past 3♠, I am doubling automatically here. If partner bids 5♣ next, I'll correct to 5♠ - and partner better have a serious 2-suiter.

Pass. What a mess, I will simply take the plus . RHO may likely be 2 suited H and C. If partner dbles we face another problem of how many D to bid. Nice hand.

So I'm the only person on the planet who says "Hey, I've got two trumps and a void!"

I bid 4♠. If I double, partner will probably says 5♣ and then I'll have to say 5♠. I'd rather play 4♠. If we're in a 5-2 fit, so what? We still have more trumps than they do. :)

IMO _P = 10, _X = 6, 4♠ = 5, 5♦ = 4.

I think pass is weak. If you pass what are you going to do over 5C by your partner ?
Bid 5H hoping partner can read your hand ?

What about

1S-----(4H)-----pass-----(pass)
4S-----(5C)-----???

How is partner going to be able to see that you have values ?

X is clear cut for me. At least if there is a followed up partner going to play me for values.

If partner protects with 4♠ and RHO tries his luck with 5♣, then IMO you should bid a confident :P 5♠ = 10 hoping that nobody doubles. I don't think that this hand is suitable for enterprise so 5♥ = 2 because suits may not break evenly :angry:
But if partner reopens with a double instead of 4♠, then you might risk a pass = 10 :( or even 6♦ = 7 :).
