Alright...restricted games are getting out of hand.

I log on to BBO to check out the tournaments, 95% of them have a restriction on them that allows almost everyone not to join the game, and then the ones that are not restricted are not going to be playing for over 24 hours!

This is stupid! We should change the way things can be limited, because I find I can't even play in a tournament anymore, because of the amount of restricted games being opened. For every 20 restricted games, there is 1 unrestricted game and usually I miss it, because I work 5 days a week.

Ridiciulous. At least I know when I create a tournament, I won't be restricting it.

The majority of the restrictions are very simple ones... where the TD does not allow "ENEMYS". This way, they can exclude people who have hassled them nin past tournments... Take a look at the tournment to see what the restriction actually is.

I think what you are seeing is that many scheduled tournaments that are posted several days in advance are restricted to private clubs. The members of these clubs can then see when a tourney is coming up.

However, there are numerous "spontaneous" tournaments that are not restricted. There are also many "scheduled" tournaments which are not posted days in advance which are not restricted (except for enemies).

concur with mrp...

All of Fishys are open to all BUT enemies of host (current list is 6 people)

You need to actually look at description.

Maybe it is time for Fred to consider removing lock if only restriction is enemy of host?

That's a heck of a good idea gweny........It would also lessen the "busy" appearance of the room.
