Your RHO opens with 1♥ (2/1 style) and you're a little surprised to hold

The auction continues with a forcing NT response and your partner intervenes with 2♥ Michaels.

1♥-P-1NT*-2♥**
P-?

* - forcing
** - Michael's, 5/5+ in spades and a minor

You are tempted to consider passing 2♥, but first ask yourself "does partner have another way to bid a strong 5/5 hand, other than to cuebid 2♥ in that sequence?" If so, you might consider passing.

A natural suit bid in 4th position would be constructive but not forcing for me (say a 2♠ overcall). I would think that X (normally takeout) followed by a new suit would be a strong one-suiter. Are there other ways to bid a good 5/5 hand that I'm missing? Does anyone know what a jump cue bid would be (i.e. 3♥ instead of 2♥) by partner?

It's barely possible to pass if very weak with very long hearts, but this is not close to the hand for it. You are not nearly hopeless enough for partner's hand to consider that. Easy 2♠.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

KQJ432 is also a pretty bad suit for playing 2♥ in this circumstances. (Since ANY higher spot would be relevant I am sure Rob would have told us if the hearts spots were instead KQJ654 or similar... :P )

I believe the next highest spot card was the 7, although it might have been the 8. I usually try to remember spot cards down to the 8's as you can see from the rest of the hand :P.

I find it amusing that an equal number of people think they should pass the 2♥ bid even though they think it's forcing as the other options. Apparently their partners cuebids aren't as forcing as they think...

Easy 2♠.

I also bid 2♠ at the table, for what it's worth. All contracts are pretty unpalatable on this particular hand (2♥, 2♠, 3♦). 2♠ went down two in practice.

Scoring: IMP

1♥-P-1N(f)-2♥*
P-2♠-AP

lead 6♥

I don't understand why you'd want to pass when you have Qx of spades. I'm sure I would pass with x KQJTxxx x xxxx or something. Partner could have like 12 tricks in his own hand but I will pay off to that with both opponents bidding and me likely being 1-1 in his suits. Way more likely we should just be in 2H with that hand. With Qx of spades and only 6 medium hearts I'm not tempted to pass at all though.
