Scoring: MP

Matchpoints

You play in 4♥ (opps silent) after the lead of the ♣5 (3/5). RHO fumbles and plays the 10.

Any thoughts here?

I'd draw one round of trumps (assuming they both follow) and lead the ♣8, ducking if it's not covered.

I wouldn't play a trump and would just lead a club

I agree with Justin.. play a club at trick 2.. there is no rush to play any trump.

I am not running the 8 if it is not covered.

If the lead was 3rd best, it was from K95x, K75x or 975x... with the first two, he is almost certainly popping the K, with the latter he is almost certainly covering. The second, btw, means that the fumble was from 109x.

But what if the lead was from 54 or 52... and the fumble was A109xx... duck to the 9, and back comes a low club to let LHO ruff your winner.

We have the club K Mike.
