Also passing doesn't convey the impression we are on the run they way a garbage stayman sequence does--so running increases the chance of a double when we can be hurt.

Those who dont know/play garbage stayman it is better to pass 1nt. This is nice hand for nt.If you still arent convinced GL playing in a 4-2 ♦ fit at the worst.

It will be easier for the opponents to find their fit if we bid Stayman.

It didn't matter a whole lot on the actual hand. Par should've been either 2D= or 1N=.

pass for me .. but why guess? ..your partnership should have a policy of always passing or always stayman on this hand-type, and just live with the result
