If this is a 4th then
Declarer has A, K, J, 8, A2, K2, J2, 82. Since he seems to have shown a stopper after a 4th suit sequence we can eliminate some of those.
Declarer seems most likely to have A2 or K2 but could have stiff A or possibly even stiff K.
There is an additional consideration partner might have lead from a three-card holding in the fourth suit like Jxx. Now anything but the queen blows a trick.
I play the queen. It seems to cater to the most realistic options.

So far both replies are for the Queen in all cases, but the poll stands firmly at 4 votes for Queen, 4 votes for the 4. Maybe queen is right. Maybe 4 is right. Anyone playing the 4 have a reason?

I like my chances in defending this better if the Ace drops. So, I just guess that it does because I like that answer better.

I am not sure this was fourth suit forcing. First no alert, second look at the hand actually held. Could that ever be a 4th suit forcing hand.
Anyway, the question is do you cover. I was all set to play the queen when West played a small club from dummy. This gave me pause. Rule of 11 says that WEST has only one card higher than the 3. So this rules out things like A8, K8, J8, AK, AJ or KJ doubleton. He could in theory have Jx, Kx, Ax or even 8x doubleton. But I find it difficult to believe partner lead from AKJ3. sp we can rule out 8x.
After what must be a "call the director huddle" I eventually played low (marking myself with something in this suit I am afraid), and declarer won the KING. My logic was that with Ax or Kx (the most likely doubleton holdings) he might well have tried the Ten or the nine at trick one. Perhaps this is wrong thinking, but I decided the best chance was declarer held a stiff honor. Boy would I have looked bad if declarer held K2 or A2.
I grabbed an early diamond trick, unblocked clubs, and we took five tricks. If I had played teh queen, we get only four. But I was still curious. Was ducking the correct play when declarer plays low, and upon reflection is ducking the correct play even if declearer plays the Ten or the Nine. Truth is, I would never have considered low if he had, but now I wonder.
