I don't think it is a non-problem B) -100 in 3Major or 100/200 in 4Major when 2 is our limit is an expensive result, so this isn't a case in which we should be focussed almost exclusively on the vulnerable game bonus.

xx xx Kxxx Kxxxx (or worse) is perfectly consistent with the auction so far and +110 would be an acceptable outcome.

Having said that, everyone seems to bid here, and I guess I do as well. But I do think it is close, and I would expect to lose imps more often than I win them. The 'edge' that gets me to bid is the possibility that partner gave me a false preference with 2=3 in the majors and a trifle too much to pass 2: Qx Kxx Kxxx Jxxx is an example where passing 2 is clearly second-best.

It's a scary world mike B) I think the saying "don't play partner for the worst possible hand" applies just as much as "don't play partner for the perfecta," and the latter doesnt even really apply when it comes to bidding vul games. Of course bidding can lead to a minus, but there are just sooooooo many ordinary 7/8/9 counts that produce a very good vul game that I don't think this is close.

Yes I always pass with the Q too.

Hang on I have AJT-fifth and AQJ-fifth they are great don't they compensate so for the Q.

3 expecting to go down sometimes and make game sometimes.

Can't imagine not trying 3 here. Sure, we could go down, but still.
Kind regards,

It's funny. Every expert I gave this hand to in real life is passing.

Yeah I caught xx K98 AJxxx xxx and had a gin 4. The other table was pushed to 4 after teammates balanced with 3.
