2♣, then double. I would agree with double as long as i had at least one spade honour, and playing in a 4-3♠ fit won't be too often a bad contract

I usually double with this shape.

The excellent clubs are tempting but I still double. I will stop doubling when there is a law that partner cannot have five spades.

There is. If he has 5 of those and 5-10 hcp, he'd have opened a NV 5-card weak 2 :)

Anyway, if I bid 2♣ and then dbl, pard will bid 2♠ and I'll be left in the moysian. If I dbl I can later bid 2/3♣ and, if pard rebids spades, I have the guarantee of a fit.

So dbl.

I really like 2♣ here. Do I want to encourage pard to over-compete with 4♠'s?

If I double, I think I am poorly placed after ..2♥ - p - p or 3♥ - p - p, but if I overcall, a reopening x describes this hand very nicely.

I doubt pard will be on lead, but he might be if LHO plays NT or spades. I think I'd like a club lead here, especially against NT.

Move my ♣K to spades, and a double would standout. Or, remove my ♣K so this becomes a one-bid hand and I would also double.

I'd overcall 2♣ here.

Frankly, I think it's very close to double. But playing in Norway double just isn't an issue on hands like this.

I think double is just taking a good idea too far. 2♣ then double is way more descriptive.
