A matter of style, but for me it would be
either pass or 3H.
And since I dont really like 3H, pass it is.

This is a very clear pass, you should put in the Q just to start some sort of discussion.

Despite not being up to "normal" standards, I really don't think 2 is awful. I certainly wouldn't criticize pass, but I'd much rather bid 2 on this than on a random 3532 13 count.

I think if you turn a low heart into Q, then it would be criminal to pass. You can discuss 2 vs 3, of course.

It depends who I'm playing with/against but I'd often bid 2H at MP w/w

2 for sure. What's the risk? Get in there, it's MPs.

For me add the J and bidding 2 is standout.

On the actual hand I might bid 2.

Oops Csaba and Kristoffer both vote pass, make me worried about my 2 bid.

If p has a fit this hand has sufficient playing strength, it has the same adjusted LTC as xx-AKQxx-KQx-xxx. Also my spade shortness make it risky to pass. Yet 2 can obviously be wrong if p has not fit or if he (eventually) decides to double their 4.

Would obviously pass at vul and at IMPs probably also pass at w/w.

I voted other, but that's just cause if I knew my opps, with some I'd bid 3.

Pass.

I get a bit of a kick out of those that overcall 2 AND bid 3 on the other thread with the QTxxxxx

Why is that? The other hand was xx Tx AK QT-7th. Move the duplicated K to somewhere useful and you might well make 3. Or you might go down. Oh well. Opponents have a 10-card spade fit and are cold for probably 3S or 4S.

Exactly, and I would try to preempt an argument like "that would not be true if you rearrange the suits" by saying the spade shortness in particular is a large part of the appeal of overcalling on a hand this light.

Pretty tight this one. It's close but I'd pass. 2 level overcalls are a lot different to overcalls at the one level, where you should get in at all costs.

Easy pass for me, even w/w MPs. If my agreements were to overcall light over 1 at the 2-level, then this is a clear 2 bid, but I have tried both light and sound and believe I get more mileage out of having sound overcalls.

I would certainly pass, so interesting to read the comments.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.
