Edit: Actually, it's okay. GIB made an error, but thinking about it more, it seems more logical than it did at the table (which seemed ridiculous).

AFAIHU GIB uses a DD solver so there is no psychology in it's bidding and play, beyond what has been hard-coded in it's system, and maybe the randomness in playing spots you mentioned. So the argument that it seems unlikely that opps know that GIB needs trumps to be 3-2 is not something GIB "thinks" about.
