IMPs, 4th hand vul vs non-vul.

After two passes, North opens 1. What do you bid?

Yep, not going to bid any more than 3D at unfavorable.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

What did partner have? xxx AKQxx x xxxx? :D

I would suggest not to go resulting if you preempted 3 and it didn't work and your partner told you never to preempt at those colors again. If you bid 3, your bid was 100% normal, and 100% normal bids don't work out 100% of the time.

Probably he didn't want to open a weak preempt with a 4-card major and a void on the side hodling AKT9xxx QTxx xx -, and we are missing out on a slam.

3D would be IJO for me and 2D would be majors, so I have to go with 1D.
But if not, 3D at these colours is perfect. Partner knows we are not insane, I hope.

3D.

Assuming, I have read correct, that
we are red, and they are green.

Given that partner is a passed hand,
you may also bid 4D.
