Scoring: IMP

(1S) - p - (p) - tank

So partner is thinking about what to do. How do you feel after partner (a) doubles and (b) bids 4H?

(Perhaps this should be in the watercooler but no need to move it Rain)
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

If he doubles I'm content. Sometimes they don't run especially if LHO has the stiff.

If he bids 4, I should have enough help here. I'm not considering taking a call of course.

General remark: I always feel uneasy if my
regular partner goes into a tank, because he
will emerge quite often with a bid, which asks
me tough questions.

#1 after double, I will pass, wtp?
The issue is, what will I bid, if opener does not pass.
#2 after 4H, I will pass as well, wtp?

With kind regards

When partner doubles here I feel very warm and fuzzy. Like a big snuggly teddy bear.

When he bids 4 I feel a bit like that time when my parents left me behind at a gas station in the middle of Iowa and didn't realize I wasn't in the car until they were 40 miles away.

Partner had - AKQJxx Axx AJxx I think and bid 4H, made even though trumps split 6-0. I felt very good actually, but 1SX would have been more fun .

isnt 4 a bad bid?

Yes it is. Slam could easily be on. Way too good a hand to jump straight to game.
