You are playing an 8 bd tg with a nice pickup partner.
As usual you agree 2/1 and have zero other discussion.
1c=p=1d=(1h)
2nt=p=3c?=p
?
You have some 18-19 hcp balanced hand with 3 clubs...your bid?

3♦ should be read properly. Passing 3♣ seems wrong with a good partner.

Partner has shown diamonds and clubs, so my bid depends on the location of my values. How are my major suit stoppers?

Maybe someone enlights me and show me a hand where a good pick up pd should bid 3 Club as focring here?
Uncontested is a different thing, but here he can force with 3 Heart, so what is he looking for?
If he just wants to play game, he can bid 3 NT. IF he is interested in more he can bid 3 Heart. Both bids are easy to understand, so why should he use 3 Club for a good hand?
I would take it as sign off. If I have nice Diamond support, I would bid 3 Diamonds, just in case I erred, but I doubt that 3 Club is forwardgoing in this sequence.
